Not all of Waterfind’s clients come from a traditional farming background.
We recently met Dion Koch from Koch Racing Stables in Strathalbyn during a client visit to Langhorne Creek and surrounding districts in the Fleurieu Peninsula.
Dion has been training racehorses for nearly 30 years and it is his life, passion and career.
With 195 career wins spanning over a decade, he currently runs his own horses, with horses Brazano, Ballroom Dancer & Philonize. Majority of Dion’s racing occurs in South Australia (in particular the country) but he also takes his horses to compete in interstate competitions. With his horse Philonize (pictured) racing at Morphettville on Saturday 29 October.
Dion also conducts pre-training work for some of SA’s leading thoroughbred stables.
Dion has been a loyal client of Waterfind for several years and balances or trades allocation as the season dictates.
