What is ISO?
The International Organisation for Standardisation (ISO) was established in 1947 and is an association of approximately 157 members, each of which represents their own country. ISO employs a system of Technical Committees, Sub-committees and Working Groups to develop International Standards.
ISO 9001:2008 gives the requirements for quality management systems and is now firmly established as the globally implemented standard for providing assurance about the ability to satisfy quality requirements and to enhance customer satisfaction in supplier-customer relationships.
