Buyers: How to buy online

  • Register for a Waterfind account.
  • Search the Waterfind water market for a water parcel that suits your price and volume requirements.
  • 'Make an offer' on the desired parcel, by either matching the asking price or stating the price that you are willing to pay per megalitre.
  • Once you place your offer, the seller then has 24 hours to either accept, decline or make a counter offer.
  • If the seller accepts your offer, the water parcel is yours (subject to Authority approval), and the necessary documentation is then sent to you via email for you to sign and return.
  • You then have 3 days to settle payment.

Sellers: How to sell online

  • Register for a Waterfind account
  • List water for sale on Waterfind's water market, specifying the volume of your parcel and your asking price per megalitre.
  • Your water listing becomes available to eligible water buyers, who can then make an offer on your water (our system automatically works out to which regions that water can be sold).
  • When an offer is made on your water, you will receive an automated email informing you of the offer (you can also opt into SMS alerts).
  • You then have 24 hours to accept, decline or make a counter offer.
  • Accepting the offer confirms the trade (subject to Authority approval) and the necessary documentation is then sent to you via email for you to sign and return.
  • Should you decline the offer, your water is automatically re-listed for sale.
