    Tom is the founder of Waterfind which is Australia’s most well-known water market specialist and Brokerage Company. Tom started in the water industry in 1989 and, over this time, has gained extensive experience and knowledge relating to water markets, Australian water policy and water trading rules.

    Waterfind’s electronic marketplace was created in 2003 to assist with maturing Australia’s national water market. Waterfind is a private business which is now Australia’s leading place to trade water, receive water-related information and get market policy advice. Waterfind is the recipient of two national innovation awards and a marketing excellence award for product design and deployment.

    Tom is a Member of the Water Industry Alliance and Australian Institute of Company Directors. He grew up in regional Australia, has owned and operated an irrigated citrus property and is a previous Rural Youth Ambassador to Japan. His passion and dedication to the Australian water industry is beyond reproach.

  • Alister Walsh
    Alister Walsh Chief Executive Officer

    In October 2014, Alister was announced as Waterfind’s CEO, following a successful period managing the Trade and Special Projects teams. Alister has an extensive career in agriculture, business development and account management. His qualifications include a Bachelor of Economics in International Agribusiness.

    Alister grew up near Wentworth NSW on his family’s cropping and grazing property. He has many years of experience with water trading and irrigation and was previously employed by Waterfind before moving to Darwin with his wife where he began work within the Commercial Banking Unit of a large financial institution. Alister re-joined the Waterfind trade team to manage special projects and market development while maintaining a broker relationship with key clients.

    His knowledge and experience in irrigation communities along with his strong business skills enables him to provide a high level of service to his clients as a valuable member of the Waterfind team.

    Alister’s interests include extensive volunteer work; he is a member of the Royal Adelaide Show Council and sits on the Horse Committee; he has had an extensive Rowing Career and is the past President of the Adelaide University Boat Club.  Alister also enjoys spending time with his young family.

    Tracey brings a wealth of experience to Waterfind, having worked in both the Public and Private Sectors.

    Her previous occupations have included Business Owner, Office Manager, Personal and Executive Assistant having worked in a large variety of industries such as the Education Department, Telecommunications, Mining, Manufacturing and Local Government.

    In addition to her role as Executive Assistant to the Chief Executive Officer, as Manager Office of the CEO Tracey has responsibility for Human Resources, Culture and the Administration Team. Tracey also oversees on behalf of the Chief Executive Officer the Trade and Policy area.

  • Ray Knobloch

    Ray is a Certified Practising Accountant (CPA) with over 30 years’ experience in roles such as Systems Accountant, Financial Accountant and Management Accountant in various State Government Departments.

    Following experience as part of a project team developing IT systems for the SA Financing Authority, Ray has also worked as an Information Systems Consultant in the area of information technology security and as a Management Consultant in the area of business process re-engineering.

    Prior to his current role, Ray was Waterfind’s Financial Accountant and still retains duties for managing the Finance team. In addition, he is responsible for IT Systems and contributes as part of the senior Management Team.

    He holds the position of Company Secretary following the completion of a Certificate in Governance Practice and Administration providing certificated membership of the Governance Institute of Australia.

    Peter has a background in advertising management, marketing and graphic design. After completing a law degree, he spent 16 years in advertising management.

    His creative and entrepreneurial interests then took precedence and he spent 11 years running his own graphic design company, servicing rural and urban businesses. The combination of his legal, business and creative skills and his passion for providing clients with exceptional service enables him to assist clients to get the most from their water assets.

His early career as an ambitious Professional Wool Classer led to employment within one of Australia’s largest agricultural companies, Elders. Matthew’s career in Elders progressed with key roles which included Branch Wool Specialist, Wool Auctioneer and Wool derivatives advisor.

    Matthew utilises his experience to support Waterfind customers in managing their water requirements.

    Wendy was raised on her parent’s farm in the Northern Victorian town of Pyramid Hill. Whilst in Melbourne Wendy managed a cafe for 12 months and then returned to her home roots of Pyramid Hill and commenced working for Coca Cola Amatil (CCA).

    After managing several territories as well as training and developing roles within CCA for 14 years Wendy left to pursue new water brokerage opportunities in Mildura. She is dedicated to offering a professional service and developing life time professional relationships with her clients.

Living and raising a family locally in Griffith, Anthony understands the needs of Waterfind’s clients, often helping producers find ways to meet the coming challenge of a growing global population.

    Bec grew up on a property in the Riverina, farming rice and cotton. Her grandparents are also in the industry, farming livestock and cereals. These formative years on the land have helped her develop an understanding of the agricultural industry and the relevance of water to farmers.

    Bec combines her rural knowledge with exceptional customer service skills, honed over her years in media.

    Based in Griffith, Bec is passionate about being a part of Australia’s important agriculture industry and assisting her clients best manage their water needs.

    Kieran Post has more than 20 years agribusiness experience working for companies like Dalgety, Wesfarmers and Elders and has gained a deep and broad understanding of the Australian agribusiness industry through the management of his family farm.

    Kieran holds a Masters of Applied Finance, Diploma of Financial Advising, and Diploma of Agriculture.

  • Elizabeth Munslow
    Elizabeth Munslow Trade Officer - QLD

    Elizabeth’s previous occupations have included business owner, office manager, receptionist, bookkeeper and legal secretary; having worked in different industries including real estate, appliance manufacturing, education and electrical contracting.

    She has a Diploma of Business Management and is currently studying a Diploma of Business Administration. Elizabeth enjoys watching movies, living by the beach and listening to music.

  • Ashleigh Lynch
    Ashleigh Lynch Trade Officer

    Ashleigh joined the Waterfind Team as a Trade Officer following roles in retail, finance and reception & administration.

    Her passion for customer service and excellent organisational skills make her a valuable addition to the Trade Team.

    Outside of work, you will find Ashleigh on the netball court, playing or coaching, or watching the latest anime.

  • Michelle McCormack
    Michelle McCormack Trade Officer

    Michelle joined the Waterfind Team initially as a Receptionist. Having impressed in the role, Michelle took up an opportunity within Administration as an Administration Officer. Her personal and organisational skills helped her to progress further within the Waterfind business, and upskill to work as a Trade Officer. Currently completing Certificate IV in Accounting, Michelle is a valued member of the trade team. Always happy to help with queries and thoroughly undertake tasks.


  • Simo Tervonen
    Simo Tervonen Manager - Trade, Policy and Market Operations

    As the Policy and Market Operations Team Lead, Simo’s key responsibility at Waterfind is to maintain and develop the integrity of Waterfind’s trading platform. He is also in charge of Waterfind’s new market development and water market research & analysis activities.

    Recognised as one of the leading experts of Australian water trading rules, Simo takes great pride in drawing upon his knowledge and applying his high attention to detail to identify solutions that satisfy stakeholders’ specific requirements.

    Simo holds Master’s Degrees both in Industrial Management and Economics & Business Administration, and has experience in the academic, industrial and financial sectors.

  • Nate Harding
    Nate Harding Market Analyst

    Nate has over 12 years’ experience in middle/back office operations, coming from a funds management background specialising in commodities. He has a Bachelor of Finance from the University of Adelaide and is currently undertaking postgraduate studies in applied finance. Nate has a knack for problem solving and always seeks to achieve the best possible outcome for clients and stakeholders.

  • Alex Campbell
    Alex Campbell Water Policy and Legal Officer

     Alex holds a Bachelor of Laws & Legal Practice and a Bachelor of Commerce (Finance) from Flinders University in Adelaide. Alex has completed internships both within Australia and in Europe, working for a range of industry leading global companies. With experience across Corporate Finance, Legislative Services and International Law sectors, Alex is a key member of the Waterfind team.

  • Rebecca Gilbert
    Rebecca Gilbert Infrastructure and Project Senior Coordinator

    Rebecca’s expertise at Waterfind spans across the business. With past roles in conveyancing and the policy sections she has been involved in the growth of the Waterfind business.

    In 2012 Rebecca was imperative to the development of  the application and subsequent successful funding of Waterfind’s involvement of the Commonwealth Government funded On-Farm Irrigation Efficiency Program. She has had a major part in the project management and delivery over $40 million in Government Funding to irrigators in the southern connected Murray Darling Basin. Regular communication and on farm visits have resulted in Rebecca building and fostering relationships with irrigators and with mutual respect they have been able to see first-hand the benefits of the funding initiative.

    Rebecca holds a Bachelor Degree in Science with majors in Zoology and Ecology and has a Diploma in Project Management.

    Lotte brings to the Waterfind On-Farm team a perfect blend of academic and practical knowledge. Her passion for science made Lotte pursue higher education studies; Lotte holds a Bachelor Degree in Biology, Majoring in Zoology and Ecology/ Conservation, a Master’s Degree in Environmental Management, a Graduate Diploma in Geographical Information System (GIS) and a Diploma and Advanced Diploma in Project Management.

    Her problem solving abilities and technical expertise have enabled her to work across a variety of Project Management roles, some of which include: Market Research Project Manager and Project Officer for a Coorporative Research Centre specializing in environmental remediation.

    Originally from Denmark, Lotte enjoys exploring the great Australian outdoors and cycling.

    James Raman Marketing Manager

    James is Marketing and Communications Lead at Waterfind, whose marketing career started at a private Adelaide based organisation, during which time he managed a successful re-branding process and wide range of ongoing marketing initiatives. In this time he developed a strong understand of client relations and it’s importance in business success.

    This was followed by a key role as a Marketing Executive/Digital Systems Manager in a dynamic professional services firm, where he continued to grow and refine his professional skillset. His responsibilities covered strategic marketing, branding, IT systems management and digital content creation.

    James graduated with a Bachelor of Management (Marketing) from the University of South Australia.

    James’ specialties include strategic marketing, online branding and identity, emerging digital and online marketing initiatives, project management, integrated business systems and software, and client relations.

    Michelle Filsell Marketing Communication Coordinator

    Michelle’s marketing career spans key strategic roles in local, national and global markets. With a background in media and industrial markets, she has extensive experience in marketing strategy, brand management, stakeholder management, content development and strategic analysis and reporting.

    Michelle holds a Bachelor of Psychology and Graduate Diploma in Marketing which provide a unique perspective of our customers and their key drivers. This ultimately leads to an enhanced experience for our customers across their engagement with Waterfind.

  • Sharon Ball
    Sharon Ball Senior Accounting Officer

    Sharon has an extensive background in banking and customer service having worked for a large national bank in London for over 22 years and then in the air-conditioning industry.

    Sharon has previously worked in our Trade and online Registration Departments and has held the role of Senior Accounting Officer within Waterfind for over 4 years. Sharon is currently studying for her Accounting certificates at TAFESA.

  • Edwina Masseng
    Edwina Masseng Accounts Clerk

    Edwina has a strong background in accounting. She holds a Bachelor of Commerce and a Diploma of Accounting. She is currently completing a Masters of Strategic Procurement.

    She has previously worked in a Chartered Accounting environment and most recently gained experience in a manufacturing enterprise.

    Edwina prides herself on her strong attention to detail, motivation to succeed and reliability within the Waterfind team.

  • Eileen Ingram
    Eileen Ingram PA to the Office of the CEO

    Eileen hails from the ‘Emerald Isle’ but adopted Australia as her home some 35 years ago.

    In her current position at Waterfind, she coordinates office administration support for several departments.

    Eileeen has a varied work history starting as a Secretary in London in the advertising industry, moving on to develop and run a restaurant in Ireland with her husband and more recently a wholesale distribution business in Adelaide for 15 years. She enjoys travelling, renovating old houses and spends her weekends catching up with friends and family.

Information Technology

  • Paul Crosby
    Paul Crosby Senior Software Developer

    Paul has an extensive background in developing and managing business IT systems, in particular web-based systems. He is responsible for the maintenance and development of the Waterfind IT system.

    Paul has a wide range of experience across both hardware and software disciplines including cloud computing, software design and systems integration.

  • Joel Blyth
    Joel Blyth Senior Software Developer

    Joel is part of Waterfind’s in-house IT team making sure that our sophisticated water trading platform runs smoothly.

    Joel brings with him a wealth of IT experience, having lived and worked in Japan for an extended period before settling back into Adelaide.

    He graduated with a Bachelor of Computer Science and Engineering (Mining) and was on the Dean’s Merit list for finishing in the top 15 percent of all students with the engineering faculty at the Uni of SA.

    In his spare time, Joel enjoys squash, mountain bike riding, football, golf and computer games (of course).

  • Nick Ross
    Nick Ross Senior Java Developer

    Nick Ross is a Senior Java Developer, with a passion for building bespoke software solutions which better support the user experience and further innovate Waterfind’s cutting-edge, reliable online water trading platform.

    Nick’s interest in programming drives him to constantly enhance his skills and enter computer programming challenges and competitions, relishing any opportunity to strive for excellence.

  • Kosta Mitanovski
    Kosta Mitanovski IT Support

    Kosta comes to Waterfind with extensive knowledge and understanding of the IT industry. He holds a Bachelor Degree in IT (Network and Security), Diploma in IT (Network Engineering) and a CCENT certificate. He hopes to obtain his Cisco CCNA certificate within the coming year. He has over 7 years of experience and prides himself in going beyond the call of duty. His past work experience includes working for Internode, Australian Submarine Corporation, and other numerous IT contract roles.

    Kosta is enthusiastic and enjoys a challenge. He is very focused and pays meticulous attention to detail. Kosta is passionate about his work and is a valuable member of the Waterfind team.

    In his spare time he enjoys watching movies, hanging with friends and finding the answer to the ultimate question of life, the universe and everything.
